Pretty Sunday

Pretty Sunday

Dorset, Vermont is a special place indeed. Waking up to the sound of the brook in my back yard, the birds chirping and the sun shining made me feel…well…pretty freakin’ awesome. Ask me in January and I may not seem so positive, however today is the kind of… “this is why I live here” kind of day. You know what I mean?
Today, I’ve spent time in a beautiful, little stone church with stained glass windows to blow your mind… I get lost in them when my mind wanders from the sermons. Lunch at the club overlooking the greens and Green Mountains, was quiet, delicious and reconnecting with my daughter. Onto the darling little farmer’s market where it seems that everyone knows everyone…and the farmer selling you the mesclun mix calls you out by name to say hi and ask how you are. Love that! As I write I am sitting on my back deck soaking up some Sunday rest before the hectic week that lies ahead of me. Feeling truly blessed for my community, the weather and my small town life.
